This is Nikaia.
She is very good at helping people.
This is her saving a cat.

first, you press the green flag and wait for her to finish speaking.
once that is done you press the up button.
then you press the space button three times.
Once you have done that you need to move your mouse to the top left corner but don't put it in the corner exactly.
Once you have put your mouse in the corner then press the down arrow.
Then you press the left arrow and then press the right button twice then you are done.

Kowhai Seed Planting

Today we planted kowhai seeds.

The first step is to get a little pod of soil into a saucer and put 50 ml of water into it,
Then you let the pod absorb the water then take the fabric coating off of it then mix.

When it is fully mixed you put some of the soil into a paper or cardboard cup leave some soil in the other cup for later. Once you have used some of the soil dig a hole into the soil.
After that, you need to get your kowhai seed and scrape it lightly on a piece of sandpaper or 6-7 times.

Once that's done put the seed into the hole and cover it up then put that cup into a plastic cup and your done!

Interview an animal.

Choose an animal and write a list of 10 questions you would want to know if you could talk to it. which animal would it be? A lion, A shark, your pet cat?
what details of their life would you want to know?
Imagine you are the animal and answer your questions as if you were the animal.

I am interviewing my dog Vazey

  1.  Do you like the food we give you? yes I love the food I just have one thing that I don't like and that is the VEGETABLES that's why they are left in my bowl after my dinner.
  2. would you like to be a human? No i love being a dog because you guys take great care of me and I don't get in trouble that often.
  3. Who is your best friend? my best friend is definitely my adopted brothers  Styne and Kaiser.
  4. what day's would you like to go for walks on and what time. I would like to go for a walk every Friday and Monday because since I'm very old and I'm getting stiff my legs can get a rest so I can still jump onto the fence so I can catch the birds. I would like to go around 12:30 so I can sleep in.
  5. what kind of music would you like? I would like the music that my dad listens to.
  6. what kind of job would you have if you were a human? I would probably be a mechanic like my dad.

  9. How many siblings do you have? I have 9 I have 3 girl dog siblings 2 dog boy siblings 2 human girl siblings and 2 human boys siblings.
  10. can you understand me when I speak. Yes I can understand you.

Monday blog writing challenge

a) do you think birds can understand the whistling language?
Yes I do think that the birds can understand the language because birds can also whistle.

b) Can animals talk to each other?
Yes of course animals can talk to each other in their own language.

c) How do we know?
I don't know how we know but my guess is if they didn't talk to each other then why do they have a mouth or a noise that they make?

d) can animals understand humans?
my example would be dogs.
when we tell a dog to sit or to lie down if they know that word then they would respond with sitting down or lying down.

e) if I could speak to animals what would I say?
if I could speak to any animal I don't really know what I would say. I think a random question would just come into my mind then I would ask the animal that question.

f) would you give up talking to humans if it meant talking to animals?
I don't really know my answer I would say yes because I would like to know what is going on in the animals mind but also I would say no because I couldn't go without talking to my family.

work from home writing

Lockdown.
My highlights are definitely being able to go on more walk/skateboarding/bike rides than I normally get to go on.
My lowlights are definitely not being able to see my friends.
I have been in lockdown with my mum, stepdad, stepsister, my little brother, my dog, and meeeee.
The people I have missed the most is definitely Nikaia, Eden, Nan, pop, grandma, and papa because I was supposed to go see my grandma and papa in the holidays.
The thing I am most looking forward to after lockdown is to see my friends see my nan and pop and also maybe be able to do netball trials as well.
My daily life has changed a little bit. The only things that have changed are being able to see my step sister more, not being able to go to Gisborne on my holiday, and even the little things like I have been waking up a lot later than I normally would.
My worries about lockdown are that somebody in my house is going to get the corona-virus and the rest of my family are going to be in danger of getting it or that we will have no food left because of the crisis.
The activities that have been keeping me busy lately are definitely bike rides and baking alot.
I can’t wait to get out of lockdown.
