Our thinks that being an active listener, Team work, Perseverance and making the most of learning time.

Active Learner

During kaiarahi time SWL thought about what a Active Learner is and this is what we came up with.

Science Road Show

On March the 26 EER and SWL lined up in front of the hall and then went inside we got told to sit down and then they did a little speech and then we got told to move back so another school came so we had to start everything over again.


He finished his speech and we got to go around looking for somethings to do at the stations.
we also had to try answer these questions to put into this lucky pick thing and we would win a helicopter.



We had looked around and then we sat down again and they said goodbye and then two more people came around from the back and started talking we watched them shoot a rocket into the air they talked about gravity and Atoms it was really cool.

Capital E festival

On Thursday the 14th most the year 7&8 department lined up in their class lines in the hall.

We all sat down while Miss Megan called out the roll.

Once all the classes were called out we all hopped on our busses to wellington.

The bus driver started the bus and we were off.

We got to pram and I thought it was a good idea to play some music then we went through
a tunnel and my music was real loud because the whole bus held their breath.

We got out of the tunnel and were nearly at our first venue.

Our first venue was at Wesley hall this show was about sounds.

The first one they did was about Isaac and Thundercat.

The second one was about Tui the blood sucking vampire.

They ended and we went to our next venue in the wellington opera house.

We walked to the opera house and all lined up outside the back door and then
the doors opened and we walked inside to sit down.

I sat in between Ayvah and Nikaia.

The lights turned of and a lady stood on stage.

She opened her fridge and this guy popped out of the fridge with a guy playing an instrument.

It was then over so we walked to our next venue.

Next to Te papa we walked inside and sat down there were two japanese guys standing there
and then they started dancing.

In between or at the end I was so tired I fell asleep.

I got woken up by Lily and then we walked around the corner and hopped on the bus.

I sat next to taleah on the bus and we played I dear you the I fell asleep on the bus.

We arrived at school then we went to go look for chris and he was there then we
went to go get eden and then we left.

The day started with music and house tents we all got put into our coloured
house tents me and nikaia sat next to each other on the edge of each tent
the first thing we did was our chants Totara went last after we went to our stations
we started at rugby pass all we had to do was throw a ball through a hoop tied to some
posts the next station was shot put I don’t really get the meaning of shot put but I did alright
in the end the next station was high jump that is my favourite I jumped 1.5 meters high after
high jump we went to long jump I jumped pretty far the next station sprints I came
first equal with Mareikura after we had discus and once that was finished we
had a dancing compotition
