Making A Star

I grabbed my chisel, hammer and my spacesuit tonight was the night I will be the only human to make a star it was my dream job since I was a little boy and now was the time to accomplish it my dad will watch me from his television he is going to be so proud.

I got in my car and drove to NASA they have sponsored me a rocket so I could get up to space. Once I got to the entrance I went into the changing rooms so I could put my space suit on. It was heavy and I didn't like the feeling of it but I had to suck it up I grabbed my chisel out of my pocket and left the changing room to enter the rocket there was a guy that had to strap me into the seat. First we had to check if there was enough food in the compartment then we had to check if there was enough water and then we did some safety checks. 

I was ready to fly they did a countdown 5...4...3...2...1...0 I was in the air we were going so fast, so fast that it took 2 seconds to reach the stars because there I was in the stars but they weren't stars they were rocks I grabbed my chisel and got out of the rocket. They were so bright I got to work and was blinded but I kept going. I have a power to keep going.

It was the last star I was finished after hours of doing this I was finished I got back into the rocket and came back to earth I was happy.

Test flight

This is my rocket his name is Rocky he has a nose cone made of plastic. We decided to put 3 fins on it and we used an L and P bottle for his body. he has a parachute in his nose and the design we used was some eyes, star and at the bottom drawings of New Zealand.


We went outside to do the test flight. first up was Manaia's group their rocket did very good. Next was Adejah and Leah's theirs went nicely. Then Lucas's group went next theirs went the highest. Next was Ayvah's hers didn't lauch because it had a hole in it. I was my group next I was the only one their so I had to launch it myself it was going so nicely until it tipped sideways but the parachute worked so it was fine. After me was Devon's group it went really good.

We walked back to class and the day ended.

Otaki Map

our class has been learning about mapping using google maps. We have learnt how to locate different places in our community. Here is a map that I have made with some of the important places in Otaki.

fishing

I grabbed my fishing my rod and walked to the car, it was a calm night while I was driving we hit a speed bump and everything changed I wasn't in my car I was on a horse and it wasn't dark it was bright all I could see were old fashioned people I think i'm in the wild west I looked around me and saw my fishing rod I was fine I walked around for a bit and then "BANG" I was in a new realm but it looked so familiar I was back in the city in my car and my fishing rod next to me once I realised that if I went over any bump I would go somewhere else so I avoid any bumps I could see until finally I reached my fishing spot I got my rod and walked to the edge of the monument and sat down.                                                                                                                                                                                       

Cat School

I packed my bag and had breakfast then walked out the door.
I arrived at the bus stop the bus driver Jerry pulled up in his big yellow bus and we drove to school.
My best friend Keira was already at school I saw her at the front gate waiting for me.
We walked into class together and sat next to each other, my friend Lucy was sitting on the opposite side of me.
Miss Caticorn walked into the class slowly and write up on the board what we were doing for the day

I was really happy with what we were doing so I got out my maths book and looked at the board again to see the math equations they were really easy and I was the first one finished.
I walked up to miss and she told me to do my two times tables I got the piece of paper and began to write, I kept writing and writing until miss told everyone to pack up and split the desks so I cleaned up and handed out the test.
Miss started the 45 minute timer and we were off.
I was in the last question when I got very confused I knew I had learnt this before but I could not remember how to do it I grabbed a piece of paper and miss called out two more minutes everyone so I sat down again and write 5 x 6 = 30 + 12 = 42 I had figured out the answer just in time.
The bell rung and I grabbed my bag and left to play on the park.
Once I got there all my friends were all ready on the monkey bars so I guess I was in for tag.
I ate my lunch and climbed up onto the monkey bars and quickly tagged Lucy she got down and tagged my just after the bell ran so she was still in.
I ran into class and we were all standing on chairs so I guess we were all playing silent ball.


I won the game and then we got down from the chairs and grabbed our writing books out and started our writing.
we finished our writing and put it on our blogs.


We had our brake and went into class and played our games and the bell rang then we went home.

3D shapes

In class we are learning about 3 dimensional shapes here is my presentation.

First Flight Test

Yesterday we had our first flight test with our ambassador Lincoln.
To launch a rocket we need a bike pump, 1.5 L bottle, Water, Safety glasses, launcher, pressure gage, and a measuring cup.

We walked out to the field and set the water bottle launcher up, measured the water level, filled the bottle with water and connected the bottle to the launcher we all got told to stand on the concrete we all counted down from 10..9..8...7... we got to 1 and waited for the rocket to launch it didn't launch. Lincoln pushed a button and the rocket launched off.
The second run we put 30 psi and 200 ml it launched but it was the lowest height.
The third run we put 45 psi and 250 ml it launched a bit late.
The last run we put 45 psi and 350 ml it launched and it was the highest.
we grabbed all of our stuff and walked back into class and left.
