Taipari's Scavenger Hunt

Every Tuesday Kia Kaha has Whaea Vicky for Manaiakalani for cybersmart.
Last Tuesday on the 16.10.2018 we did a scavenger hunt and I learnt how to use the explore tool.

On Friday evening Otaki School had a dance at Nga Purapura, I was so nervous when I got out of the car, Nikaia arrived at the same time as me. She parked next to me and smiled out the window I smiled back and got out the car. We walked across the parking lot and entered Nga Purapura we said good bye to my mum and walked across to my friends. We went to sit down next to the rest of our class we watched the school dances they were all pretty cool but then it came to our turn we were all so nervous. Whaea Amiria did her MC thing and then she handed the microphone over to Whaea Kerianna we started marching out onto the stage and then the songs started me and Nikaia did a cartwheel out and then I did a back walk- over and Chant did a back-flip then at the same time Levi did a handstand then we all went back to our lines then marched through the whole thing the music changed to move your body we all spreaded out to our other lines and danced. The song ripped to Michael Jackson Rockin Robin the hand game then the song finished we went to our lines and the song was now on Jump Jump and we jumped and jumped everywhere. The last song was baby shark that was so embarrassing that I stayed at the back the song finished that was the end of our dance. Te Mutunga Iho was next they did Michael Jackson it was really cool. The dance came to an end and we did karakia and went home well first we dropped Nikaia off at her house and then we went back home I put my pj's on and watched movies for the rest of the night.

KMN Superhero Disco!

My Fathers Day Animation.

Today we produced animations for our fathers day assembly. 

We made these animations about our dads superpower.

Slime Makers

Today we are making slime for our disco!! This is what you need.  You will need: 1 tsp - Borax, 1 cup - Glue, 4 squirts - Shaving foam, 1 Bowl, 1 Spoon,  2 squirts - Dye,  2 squirts - Paint, a full cup - Hot Water,  Measuring cups,Containers and 3 squirts - Lotion.

Add 1 cup of glue into the bowl then add the borax into the hot water so it dissolves. Add 4 squirts shaving cream into the glue and mix then add the colouring and mix. Once the colouring is mixed add a little bit of borax so the liquid turns into slime then you are done. 
We tried this method but it turned into gloop.

We then tried our own way but still, it didn't work.
We looked on youtube and it suggested we try oil and baking soda but that didn't work so we left it for one hour! 
When lunchtime was finished we tried out our slime, it was still gloop.
We tried all day to save our slime and at 2:30 we stopped, our slime making failed.
I hope someone out there can tell us how we can save our slime.

Kia ora, my name is Taipari and I go to Ōtaki school. Im 10 years old and a year 6 student, I love gymnastics and I have the coolest teacher ever. I have a english bull mastiff named Vazey and  I love playing basketball. 

My dads side of the family is from Gisborne and my mums side is from Wellington.
