You have done a marvellous job creating these similes. Shelly-Ann must be super fast to be as fast as a car, but she does have a few gold medals to suggest she could be!
Whenever I think of someone being as fast as a car, I wonder what the world would look like if everyone was as fast as a vehicle. Do you think people would still drive, or would they just run everywhere instead? I think more people would run everywhere. It’d be much better for the environment too which is an added benefit.
Perhaps to appeal more to your readers, you could make the background of your chosen images the same colour as your red background. This would make them stand out more without clashing with the white.
